Hi all
This is just a quick note to let you know that I have given my personal website (www.greglever.co.nz) a fresh look. Feel free to check it out by clicking here.
Still got more photographs to load in due course, so be sure to keep checking back.
Next I hope to do a “refresh” of the MinzEye Photography website and it’s content … watch this space for more.
Take care
Greg
Hi there
In my blog a few months ago I talked about the enormous variety of things on our planet to stimulate our senses (see Scenery to Stimulate the Senses).
Another aspect of this variety is how subtle the changes can be. Take a sunrise or a sunset for example. The different layers of colour stretched across the sky changing every second and no two sunsets (or sunrises) are ever the same – truly an amazing thing to see. But sometimes the colours within a captured moment, even though months (in some cases even years) apart can be very similar.
To illustrate what I mean, take a look at the two images below. The first image is of a sunrise taken back in April 2009.
Sunrise at Tauroa Point, Northland, New Zealand
The next image is of a sunset taken just this month.
Sunset over Auckland City, New Zealand
Notice that even though the shapes within each individual setting are quite unique, the colour toning and hue is very similar. I guess it makes sense since it is “painted” by the same artist. It reminds me of the saying:
“God doesn’t have to put his name on a label in the corner of a meadow because nobody else makes meadows.” – Cecil Laird
For some more photographs of nature please feel free to visit the Nature & Landscape area of my personal website.
Until next time.

Hi there
A few weeks back my family and I were in Tauranga and had the opportunity to enjoy the airshow that was on. And WOW!! There was some truly amazing flying that week.
I have uploaded just a handful of photographs of the first day to my personal website (www.greglever.co.nz). Click here to go straight to the Events page.
Tauranga Airshow – Day One
I was with my family on the first day and so didn’t take that many “public” photos. However, the second day I went alone and took many more that may be of interest to you. So be sure to come back again later as I will be uploading photographs taken on the second shortly.
As always, I look forward to hearing your feedback on the photographs, and any suggestions or comments you may have on the website. Thanks.
All the best
Greg
Hello
One of the things I love about our earth is that you never get bored with the scenery. There is such an enormous variety of things to stimulate our senses.
Even though each season has it’s own unique elements, there is still an endless variation of characteristics. Take Spring for example. What do you think of when you hear that word? No doubt things like daffodil flowers, newborn lambs and fresh green fields of grass come to mind.
Spring 2009
For a closer look at the selection of images above, simply follow this link . . . click here . . . And please feel free to visit my personal website (www.greglever.co.nz) for more of my photographs.
And remember, if you are ever feeling bored, take a look out your window at our planet’s extraordinary scenery. Better yet, get out there and explore it.
Try something new. Find a place you have never visited before. Talk to a person you have never spoken to before. Taste something you haven’t eaten before . . . I think you get the idea. 😉
Have a great day!
Greg
Hi all
In case you haven’t noticed I just wanted to mention that the “Image Display Changes” I told you about in a previous posting have now gone live on our website.
As mentioned, the changes mainly relate to the Portfolio section. Check out the bonus gallery of surfing images that have been added. I am working on an image thumbnail sheet with scroll bar for easier navigation, but for now it is the usual “next” and “previous” type gallery layout.
There has also been some information added in the Resources area of our website too. In fact I commented on one of the additions in the previous blog posting (see below).
That’s it for now. I better get back to “clicking” some photographs!
Greg
PS Here is a ‘screenshot’ exmaple, be sure to browse our website for more.

Hi again
Our Online Purchasing system is a little bit more complicated than we first thought, so it is taking a bit longer than expected to get up and running. But don’t worry, we are working on it behind the scenes and hope it will be ‘good to go’ as soon as possible!
In the meantime, I’ll be using this Photographer Blog to highlight some specific pages of our website. So please come back soon. Oh, and keep that feedback rolling in! 🙂
Regards
Greg
Hi everyone
Well, it has been a long time coming, but our new website has finally gone live. For all those checking regularly but finding our splash page with the “launching soon” message, thanks very much for your patience. Hopefully it has been worth the wait for you.
There are still a few technical glitches to work out, and we are still modifying some of the pages, so it’s not quite the “perfect picture” yet. One of the key things we are working on behind the scenes is our Online Purchasing system. Hopefully it will be up and running soon, but I will keep you posted on progress in this Photographer Blog.
Shortly I’ll provide more details about the content of our website, and I’ll let you know about some exciting things we have planned for the future too. In the meantime though, feel free to browse our website. … Oh, and be sure to give us some feedback as well, we’d love to hear from you. 🙂
All the best
Greg
